Funeral services are scheduled Tuesday for William Luther (Bill) Gray, 69-year-old Reed man who died Monday morning at Southwest Baptist Hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. at the Greer Funeral Home Chapel, with J.V. McElroy, minister of the Willow Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Born October 28, 1893, at Bonham, Texas. Gray was the son of Dr. and Mrs. W.L. Gray.
He was married on December 3, 1915, to Mabel Margaret Gribble at White Flat, after moving to Greer County as a child.
Gray was a farmer in the Reed community.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Leo of Reed, Eugene of Effingham, Kansas, Luther of Dallas, Texas, and Robert Lee of McKinney, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice Terry of Reed; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Lynn Gray of Chickasha, Robert Gray of Atchison, Kansas and Ollie Gray of Syracuse, Kansas; five sisters, Effie Jones of Wellington, Texas; Nellie Young of Wellington, Texas; Nellie Young of Wellington, Opal Bowen of Wellington, Myrtle Stevens of Borger, Texas and Alberta Owens of Clovis, New Mexico.
