Dr. W. L. Gray, local masseur, died suddenly Monday at 5:20 p.m. following a stroke of apoplexcy. William Luther Gray was born in Fannin County, Texas, April 5, 1800. He had made his home in Wellington for the past eleven years, and was widely known over Collingsworth. He was one of the first masseurs to locate in this county, and through his profession became known to hundreds of people in this community. Besides his wife of Wellington, he is survived by eleven children, who are: L. B. Gray. of Reed; Robert Gray of Atchinson, Kansas; Mrs. H. L. Parker of Mangum; Willie Gray of Carter, OK; Floyd Gray of Reed; Mrs. H. H. Stephens of Reed; Mrs. Jess Young, Mrs. Barney Jones, Ollie Gray, Mrs. Earl Bowen, and Alberta Gray, all of Wellington. Two children preceeded him in death.
