Mrs. Young, 90, died Friday, June 10 in White Settlement. She was born in Mangum, Oklahoma December 17, 1903. Her parents were Dr. William L. Gray and Sallie Bean. She came to Wellington with her family at an early age. She married Jess L. Young, Sr. on April 23, 1922 in Wellington. He died in 1972. They owned and operated Young's Laundry in Wellington for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Gayle Jameson of Wellington; one son, Jess Young, Jr. of Ft. Worth; one brother, Ollie Gray of Springfield, Mo.; 2 sisters, Effie Jones of Stephenville and Alberta Owens of Boliver, Mo.; three grandchildren, Ernest Keith Young and Beverly Young, both of Weatherford and Danna Dion Jameson of San Diego, Ca.; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Patti Kaye Jameson in 1961 and by three sisters and four brothers.
