Joyce Lydia Joslyn, 76, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Mercy Iowa City. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. The Rev. Jonathon Kosec will officiate at the service. Friends may call starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Chapel Cemetery, rural Anamosa.

Surviving are her children, Vicki (Bill) Tyckoson of Eden Prairie, Minn., Jeffrey (Marti Johansen) Joslyn of North Liberty, Jay (Corinne) Joslyn of Iowa City, Cheryl Graham of North Liberty, Don (Lucia) Herman of Anamosa and Michelle (Alan Ahrendsen) Niehaus of Anamosa; two sisters, Marie Schoon of Connecticut and Helen (Ralph) Bender; a brother, Junior (Jan) Gerdes of Anamosa; seven grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Matt, Lara, Keely, Kierra and Jaden; two great-grandchildren, Savanna and Anyah; a brother-in-law, John Hayes of California; a sister-in-law, Ruth Gerdes of Illinois; and her former husband, Richard Joslyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Richard; three sisters, Gertrude Nost, Claire Hayes and Francis Brodersen; and two brothers, Al and Louie Gerdes;
Joyce Lydia Joslyn was born July 22, 1933, in Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Garrett and Louise Andreesen Gerdes. Joyce was always very interested in fashion and style.
She will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
