Mrs. Alfred (Retta) Volz, Rt. 2, New London, age 71, died Monday, February 18, 1985 unexpectedly, in Appleton. She was born October 6, 1913 in Bear Creek, and had lived in the Sugar Bush area all of her married life. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and its Ladies Aide.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Sawall, New London; and Mrs. George (Arella) Gresen, Manawa; also nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

The funeral was held Wednesday, Feb. 20 from the Grace Lutheran Church, Sugar Bush, with Rev. Nathan Engel officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
