LOUIS RANDT PASSES AWAY
Death Takes Employee Of Gehrke Bros. At Age Of 51 Years; Oldest Son Died In November
Louis Christ. Randt died at his home in Manawa early Tuesday morning, December 17, of ulcers of the stomach. He was 51 years and 13 days old.
Mr. Randt was born in Greenville, December 4, 1878, and spent the early years of his life in that locality. He was married at Appleton in 1901 to Miss Emma Hahn. They lived four years on a farm in Bear Creek, then a year at Manawa, and after that they spent another ten years on a Bear Creek farm. In 1915 the family moved to Clintonville where Mr. Randt was employed in the implement business by the Clintonville Implement company and later by Fred Tanner. Accepting a job here with Gehrke Bros. in 1923, Mr. Randt moved to Manawa and worked with the local firm until failing health forced him to quit several weeks ago.
He is survived by four daughters, Arella (Mrs. Geo. Gresen) of Union, Avira, Ruth and Retta at home, one son, Corwin at home, one brother, John of Rib Falls, four sisters, Mrs. Zuehlke and Mrs. Bentz of Appleton, Mrs. Lehman of Menasha, and Mrs. Lauersdorf of Pella, and three grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death, Alfred who died in infancy and Lester, 24, who died at Quincy, Ill., November 4, 1929.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon, December 20, at 1:30 o'clock at the home and at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran church at 2:00, Rev. R.A. Karpinsky officiating. Interment will be in Graceland cemetery, Clintonville.
