Arella Gresen, 87, Rt. 2, Manawa, died Monday, July 3 at the New London Family Medical Center. She was born Sept. 6, 1901, in the Town of Union, daughter of Louis and Emma (Hahn) Randt. On Aug. 16, 1922 she married George Gresen. He preceded her in death May 30, 1989.
Arella lived most of her life in the Town of Little Wolf. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manawa, a member of the Ladies Aid, and she was a charter member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary Unit No. 53 of Manawa.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Norma Gresen; Elaine and Donald Ferg, all of Manawa; a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Joyce Gresen, New London; a sister, Ruth Sawall, New London; two grandchildren: Lynn (Robyn) Christianson, Sheboygan; Mark (Barbara) Ferg, Manawa; three great-grandchildren: Andria, Ashley, and Christopher Ferg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and three brothers.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Manawa, with Rev. Carl Luedtke officiating. Burial was in the Little Wolf Cemetery, Manawa.
