MRS. NELLIE G. NEWELL, 89, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. James (Anabelle) King of 2412 Meadow Drive, Lafayette, Indiana, died May 4, 1984, in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She apparently suffered a fall in her daughter’s home two days earlier and had been hospitalized one day. Born in Cutler, Indiana she attended schools there and lived in Cutler (Carroll County) Indiana for 52 years. She came to Lafayette, Indiana in 1971 and formerly resided at 2329 North 24th Street, Lafayette, Indiana. She was married in 1915 to William A. “Bill” Newell and he died in 1981. Surviving with the daughter, Anabelle King, are a sister, Mrs. Frank (Mina) Sheagley; and one brother, Joseph Cook, both of Cutler, Indiana. Service was May 8, 1984 in Landis-Loy chapel with Reverend Donald Denton officiating. Interment was in Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler, Indiana.
