Byron Eugene Mitchem was the oldest son of Alonzo Murrell Mitchem and Lucy Verona Arnold Mitchem of Morgan Co., GA. He married Addie Belle Doster on 10/29/1901. They were the parents of one son, Alonzo "Lonnie" Mitchem 1902 - 1976 (buried Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Jasper Co., Ga). Byron Eugene Mitchem died of typhoid Fever. His siblings were: James Carter Mitchem 1881 - 1913 (never married); William Edgar Mitchem 1884 - 1925 (m. Minnie Hester); Viola Victoria Mitchem 1886 - (m.
