Irene Francis Anderson was born July 13, 1903, in Dunbar, Nebr., to Viscount and Ella Francis, the second of ten children, and died July 3, 1987, at the Belleville Health Care Center at the age of 83 years, 11 months, 20 days.

She was baptized in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dunbar and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Belleville. She attended school in Dunbar, Nebr., and graduated from high school in Minneapolis, Kans.

On June 1, 1922, she was united in marriage to Glenn McCarty, and to this union two children were born, Francis Jean and Donovan. They moved to Belleville in 1930 and started a cafe business on the downtown square, later expanding into a truck stop business known as the Kravmore. Her husband died in 1942.

In 1946 she married Russell (Dutch) Anderson and to this union was born one son, Rusty.

Survivors include her husband, Dutch; children: Francis Graves, Donovan McCarty and Rusty Anderson; one sister, Mrs. Lewis (Alice) Howe of Carlsbad, N.M.; two brothers, Lowell Alex Frances, Hays, Kans., Harrison (Sam) Francis of Springfield, Mo.; step-children, Douglass Anderson, Belleville, Rita Chaffin, Burwell, Nebr., Dwain Anderson, Lincoln, Nebr.; nine grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held July 6 at the United Presbyterian Church, Belleville, Rev. Garth Barber officiating. Burial was in Belleville Cemetery.
