GARFIELD - Sarah K. Carlson, 69, died Sept. 18. 1996, at Parkview Medical Center, Vicksburg, Miss. She was born Aug. 20, 1927, at Larned, the daughter of Charles and Verna Putnum Manlove. A Casa Grande, Ariz., resident since 1975, she was a homemaker. She was a past writer for local newspapers and farm magazines, had business interests in farming and ranching in Edwards County and was part owner for Texaco Gas Station, Arizona City, Ariz.
On Oct. 1. 1945, she married William H. Carlson at Dodge City. He survives.
Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, Larned. Private burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery, Garfield. Mark Scope Funeral Directors, Jackson, Miss., is in charge of arrangements.
