PLEASANT, MARY ANN, Funeral services for Mary Ann Pleasant, age 70, of Pickton, will be held at Pickton United Methodist Church, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2006, with Rev. Henry Suche officiating. Interment will follow at New Pickton Cemetery, with, Scott Crawford, Jeff Dewese, Mike Minter, Gene Rose, Gene Mays and James Halcolm serving as pallbearers. Members of Pickton United Methodist Church will be honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2006, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mary Ann Pleasant passed away at 5:20 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2006, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Pickton, on August 5, 1935, the daughter of Joseph A. and Idabell Templeton Minter. Ms. Pleasant was an E-system technical writer for the defense industry. She was a member of Pickton United Methodist Church. Survivors include: daughter, Susan Dewese and her husband, Mark, of Richardson; two sons, Brian Pleasant and his wife, Kay, of Tyler, Greg Pleasant and his wife, Kristin, of Giddings; grandchildren, Jeff Dewese, Sarah Crawford, Ashley Pleasant and Hunter Pleasant and Lori Ann Cade and Scharli Cade; brothers and sisters, Dr. Joe Minter of Sulphur Springs, Barbara Shields of Grapevine, Tom Minter of Rowlett and Sally Roushey of Mesquite. Mary Ann was a generous feisty spirit and lived life her way. We will miss her. Memorials may be made to Pickton United Methodist Church.
