Met Austin, 50, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mattie Austin, in Childress last week. He is survived by a wife and eight children: Mrs. Mae Horton and Mrs. Clyde Brown of Wellington and Catherine, T.B., Clifford, Dorothy, Ella May, Jerry at home; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Austin, three sisters, Miss Cora Austin and Mrs. George Hill of Childress and Mrs. Ed E. Williams of Buston, LA, two brothers, J. W. and O. O. Austin of Hot Springs and West Fork, Arkansas.
