Rachel Modglin, 79, of Bartonville, formerly of Pope County, died
Monday, November 29, 1999 at 3:30 a.m. at Methodist Medical Center in
Peoria. Mrs. Modglin retired in 1986 as a state-employed nurse. She was
a member of Bartonville Baptist Church and the State of Illinois Retirement Association.
Surviving are a son, Clarence Modglin of Davenport,Iowa; a daughter, Fayola Modglin of
Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Rosebud Cletcher of Bartonville; two brothers,
Randel Reames of Lake Station, Indiana and Joe Tom Reams of Murphysboro;
five grandsons and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Orval Modglin and a brother. Her parents were Clarence
and Missouri Kerley Reames. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist
Church in the Rock community. Friends may call after noon Saturday at
the church.
Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville is in charge of arrangements.
