Adams County News December 3, 1910

Harry Harbaugh, of near Fountaindale, the young man who in a fit of despondency, shot himself in the head with a revolver, with suicidal intent, on the evening of November 17th, died form the effects of the shot at a Baltimore hospital early
Sunday morning. He was 26 years and 1 day old.
No reason is known for his committing the deed as he was always very cheerful.
He was in the best of spirits on the morning of the tragedy and went to Zora. On his return he was in the living room, the rest of the family being out of the house. His sister on approaching the house heard a shot and on entering the kitchen found him with the bullet wound in his forehead just above the left eye. He was unconscious from that time until the Sunday following when he was taken to the hospital.
He is survived by his parents, eight brothers, Clarence and Herman, of Hagerstown, Elbert, Allen, Clemens and Ellsworth, of Blue Ridge summit, Arbie, of Sabillasville and Wilbur at home, also two sisters, Mrs. Edward Long, of Emmitsburg, and Cora at home.
His remains were brought to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Harbaugh, who live about midway between Fountaindale and Sabillasville, on Sunday evening. The funeral took place on Tuesday with services in St. Jacob's Reformed church, near Fountaindale, at 10:00. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining church.
