Nora Oleta Lawson, 90 of Bluefield, WV, passed away peacefully Monday, January 15, 2018 at the home of her daughter. Born at Tip Top, VA, she was the daughter of the late Jesse D and Minnie Mae Browning Farmer. Nora was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved playing BINGO and spending time with her family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Albert Whitley Lawson; her sons: Roger Wayne Lawson and Donald Lynn Lawson; her siblings: William Ray Farmer, Reese T Farmer, Helen Mathena, Fannie Farmer, Robert Farmer, Maria Morgret, Jesse Farmer and Pearl Gibson.
She will be lovingly and affectionately missed by her children: Larry Lawson of Bluefield, WV, Randy Lawson (Donna) of Bluefield, WV, Michael Lawson (Candance) of Bluefield, WV, Tami Dodder (Steven) of Bluefield, VA; grandchildren: Jay Jennings (Brenda), Crystal Neal (Richie), Michael Lawson, Adam Lawson; great-grandchildren: Logan Jennings, Matthew Neal, Victoria Neal; numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Nora’s life will be held Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Bishop David Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Vista Cemetery in Bluefield, VA.
