67 of 15400 Norwood Ave., Blue Ridge Summit, died at 9:5 p.m. Tuesday in the Brethren Home at Cross Keys. He had been in failing health since 1977 and was admittedto the nursing home in August.

He was born at Fairfield, May 15, 1914, son of the late Preston and Bertie (Gilland) Sanders. His early life was lived in the Fairfield area. He and Mrs. Sanders were married in July 1934, and had lived at Blue Ridge Summit for the past 40 years.

He served with the U. S. Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII.

Prior to his retirement in 1979 he was employed as a machinist at the Fairchild Corp. in Hagerstown for 20 years.

He was a member of the Germantown Bethel Chuch of God.

In addition to his wife, Mrs. Geneva G. (Harbaugh) Sanders he is survived by three sons and a daughter; Roy P. Sanders, Cascade; Robert E. Sanders, Emmitsburg; Francis R. Sanders and Mrs. Mary E. Meek, both of Blue Ridge Summit. Also, surviving are 13 grandchildren, three brothers and a sister; Lawrence C. Sanders and Clyde W. Sanders, both of Fairfield R. D. 1; Charles L. Sanders, Hagerstown, andMrs. Mae Holtzapple, York.

The funeral will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the Grove Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. William Parks and the Rev. Paul Tobias. Burial will be in the Bethel Chruch Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Germantown Bethel Church of God.
