Mrs. Esther Stubbs Dippold, 77, 310 Elm St., died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday in her home. She had been under a doctor's care.
Mrs. Dippold was born May 2, 1891, in Hamel Township, the daughter of the late Daniel and Sabra Barnett Stubbs.
She was married to Arthur J. Dippold on Jan. 14, 1913, in Clayton, Mo. Mr. Dippold survives.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Dippold is survived by a son, Daniel S. Dippold, a daughter, Mrs. George (Lea) Rizzoli, both of Edwardsville, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, A. James Dippold, and by two brothers.
A lifetime resident of the Edwardsville area, Mrs. Dippold was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and of the United Presbyterian Women.
Friends may call at the Weber Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home, Rev. Walter Mehl, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
