Mrs. Sabra Stubbs, 217 Hickory street, wife of the late Daniel Stubbs, died at her home here Sunday at 11:25 p.m. Death was contributed to infirmities of old age.
Mrs. Stubbs was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Albina Barnett. She was born on March 8, 1953, on a farm five miles northeast of Edwardsville, attaining the age of 86 years, 11 months and 3 days.
She attended Quercus Grove school, and then Greenville Women's College. In 1874 she was married to Mr. Stubbs, who preceded her in death in 1903.
Three children, a sister and five grandchildren survive. The children are Raymond Stubbs of Los Angeles, Cal., Arthur H. Stubbs and Mrs. Esther Dippold, both of Edwardsville. Miss Julia Barnett of Edwardsville is the surviving sister, two brothers having preceded Mrs. Stubbs in death.
After living in Hamel township for many years, she moved to Edwardsville about 38 years ago. Mrs. Stubbs was a member of the Christian Science Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Marks-Weber Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
