Louise Gray Templeton died in Wellington Saturday, October 7, 2000 at the age of 89.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Monte Krebs, pastor, officiating.
This was a joint service with her sister, Dorothea Gray Farris.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Joe Peters, Dan Henard, Larry Henard, Andy Henard, Yates Parker, Ronnie Gray, Phillip Gray and Neal Gray.
Born April 5, 1911 in Etta, Mississippi to Arthur C. and Carrie E. Henard Gray, she graduated from Wellington High School in 1928.
A longtime Wellington resident, she was the medical records librarian at Collingsworth General Hospital for a number of years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lorraine Parker, Curtistine Patrick and Dorthea Farris.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and John Rhodes of Wellington; a brother, Henard Gray of Hollis, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Les Bollinger and Beth; Gay Ames and Dean; Carrie Blackshear and Dirk; four step- grandchildren, Rhonda Trent and Joe; Johnnie Rhodes and Sherrie; James Rhodes and Lori Williams; 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
