Bobbie Rhodes, age 88 of Wellington, died Sunday, February 18, 2018. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 22 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gene Weinette, pastor officiating. Arrangements are Adams Funeral Home of Wellington. Born April 9, 1929 in Lebanon, Tenn. to Robert Newton and Dannie Louise Gray Templeton, Bobbie married John Rhodes in August 1974. He died in 2008. Bobbie served as a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the 23rd Psalm UMW Circle. She also served as a member of the Art Guild, VFW Auxiliary,
the 1954 Study Club and the Chaparral Sam's RV Club. She volunteered with the RSVP for many years. An artist, Bobbie taught art classes and wrote a book on painting. Bobbie is survived by two daughters, Gay Ames and her husband Dean of Dalhart and Carrie Bollinger of Wellington; her son, Lester Bollinger and his wife Beth of Dumas; seven grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1946.
