She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and wife who loved to read and cook goodies for her family. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper and tax preparer, not to mention payroll clerk and office manager. She also loved flowers and loved working in her gardens. God and her family were numbers 1 and 2 in her life. She had 5 children: Sharon, Larry, Randy, Mark and Tammie. Her husband was L.D. Barfield Sr.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Hernando.
