Mrs. Phoebe Carol Davis Hobby, 79, of Sylvester, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday evening, December 23, 2023, at home while surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Providence Cemetery in Worth County with Rev. Ricky Purvis officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery.

Born on November 14, 1944, in Albany, Mrs. Hobby was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Thelma Fulford Davis. She retired after 23 years of service from The Worth County Board of Education where she served in food service at Worth County High School. She always had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Most of all she loved The Lord and her family. Mrs. Hobby was a member of New Bethel Free Will Baptist Church of Worth County and will be greatly missed until we meet again in Heaven.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Barfield, Nita Jenkins, Doris Davis, and Mary Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years that she married on June 2, 1960, Olin Hobby of Worth County; her children, Tracy Hobby and Adrienne of Sylvester, Travis Hobby and Lee of TyTy, and Trina Medina and Luis of Sylvester; sisters, Laura Pasco, Daphne Pate, Amelia Martin, and Linda Breeden; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
