CHLOE CHARITY NUSSBAUM

Chloe Charity West, daughter of John and Eva West, was born in Pleasant township on Sept. 17, 1885 and passed away quietly in her home at the age of 69 years, one month and two days.

She spent her entire life in Lucas county and has resided the past 10 years in Chariton.

On Dec. 14, 1909, she was united in marriage to Ferman E. Nussbaum and to this union five children were born.

Surviving besides the husband are Etha Jones, Wilma Gorog and Norma Nussbaum of South Bend, Ind., and Corwin of Des Moines. A son, Loren, preceded her in death in 1944.

Also surviving are six grandchildren and two sisters, Olive Brewer of Chariton and Bertha Tharp of Leesville, Ohio, and two brothers, Robert West of Lamberton, Minn., and Charles West of Russell.

Early in life she was united with the Presbyterian church and has always expressed her faith in God.

She was a member of the daughters of Union Veterans and was a Gold Star mother.
