Julia Sabota, 49, of 2339 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH, died at the emergency room of St Joseph Hospital, 21st and Broadway, Lorain OH, on December 30, 1966, after a long Illness.

Mrs. Sabota was born in Weaver, Pennsylvania on January 25, 1917. [Weaver and Bentleyville, PA are two small coal-mining towns right next to each other.] She was a resident of Lorain for the 47 years preceding her death. A 1935 graduate of Lorain High School, she was a member of St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 2304 E 34th Street, Lorain, OH 44055.

At the time of her death, survivors included her husband, Alfred; two children, Robert A, and Nancy, both of Lorain; her mother, Mrs. Mary Krosky; three brothers, John, Mike, and Raymond, all of Lorain; four sisters, Mrs. Otto Mikolanda and Mrs. Alexander Vangeloff, both of Lorain; Mrs Joseph Kerekes, Amherst, OH; and Mrs. Joseph Kovacs, Wayne, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel.

Visitation hours were held at the Walter A. Frey Funeral Home, Erie Avenue, Lorain, after 1 p.m. on Monday January 2, 1967. Prayer services were held Tuesday January 3, 1967, at the funeral home, followed by a Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. at St Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain OH.
