Mrs. Ellen McGonigle, 1010 North Morgan street, died at 11 o'clock Sunday night in the home of her daughter Mrs. M. J. White, 903 South Maffit Street. She had been in failing health for about two years but had been seriously ill with heart trouble for about one week.
Ellen Kennedy was born in Ireland, June 4, 1862, but came to Decatur with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kennedy, when she was but one year old. She married Myles McGonigle January 23, 1882 in Decatur. He died Dec 3, 1914.
She leaves the following children; Mrs. W W Conley, Taylorville; Mrs. F. C Saner, Chicago, Mrs. M J. White and Mrs. D. E. Walker, both of Decatur and Alice and Myles both at home. She had lived in the same house ever since her marriage in 1882.
She was a member of St Patrick Church. The body was taken to the Moran and Sons funeral home and prepared for burial.
