John Kennedy died at the home of his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ed Kennedy, 714 East Condit street, yesterday afternoon at 2:40 of apoplexy of the brain. Deceased had been partly under the weather all summer and fall but did not stop work until about ten days ago. He was 25 years of age and has been in the employ of the Wabash ten years, first as a messenger boy, then bill clerk, afterwards foreman of an engine in the yards and lastly assistant night yardmaster, which position he held until he was stricken down.

He was a generous, warm hearted young man, has always worked hard and his death was a sad blow to his host of friends and acquaintances. He was a member of the Switchman's Mutual Aid Association.

The funeral will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic church Monday at 2 p.m. The S.M.A.A. will attend the funeral in a body. The interment will take place at the Catholic cemetery.
