A funeral service to celebrate the life of Larry R. Metz, 58 will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Whippoorwill Drive on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being done by Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington.

He is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine M.; nieces who he loved as daughters, Mary Rena Freeman and Jennifer Ann Tuladhar; brothers and a sister, Barry Robert, Charles Albert, Kenneth Earl and Lillian Juanita Woody.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served an honorable mission in London, England. He worked for over 20 years at the Quality Inn and Comfort Suites in Lexington and served his country in the Air Force.

He was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
