Services for Barry Robert Metz, 65, of Lexington will be held 3 pm, Friday, September 16, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lake Murray Ward, 2224 Augusta Hwy, Lexington. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 pm in the Relief Society Room. Burial will follow at Lexington Memorial Cemetery.Born May 27, 1951, in Aiken, SC, Barry was a son of the late Roy Robert Metz and Mary Rena Cunningham Metz. A long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Barry served missions in Northern England and parts of Scotland. He loved poetry and to laugh.Survivors include his loving daughters, Rena Freeman (Edward), Jennifer Tuladhar (Rajiv); grandchildren Kenneth Edward Freeman, Emily Noelle Freeman, Madison Hope Freeman, Nathaniel Elijah Freeman; brothers Charles Albert Metz, Kenneth Earl Metz; sister Lillian Juanita Woody; and sister-in-law Geraldine "Gerrie" Metz. Barry was preceded in death by his twin brother Larry Robert Metz.
