Born October 28, 1923 in Joliet and a life-long resident. She was the daughter of Joseph W. and Myrtle W. (nee Hendrick) Loetscher.
Ida was a member of the Council of Catholic Women of Holy Family Church, Holy Family Parish Family & Friends Club, The Ladies Auxiliary of Cantigny V.F.W. Post #367 and she served as a volunteer for Shepherd's Table.
Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Louis F. Bortoli; one son, Mark (Melissa) Bortoli of Joliet; two daughters, Luann (Michael) Krall and Deborah (Thomas) Vargo, both of Minooka; eight grandchildren, Brandon and Matthew Bortoli, Aaron (Aimee) and Benjamin Krall, Joshua, Nicholas, Katherine and Bryan Vargo; one brother-in-law, John (Mary) Keto; one sister-in-law, Eileen (Raymond) Loetscher; aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Josephine Rogers, Bertha Webb and Mary Keto; one brother, Raymond Loetscher.
Funeral from the Grant-Tapella-Freitag Westwood Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 30, 2001 at 9:15 a.m. to Holy Family Catholic Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. GRANT-TAPELLA-FREITAG
