Many friends were shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. Cleo Howard who died at her home at South Eighth and Boyce Street. Services were held at the home conducted by George A. Klingman, minister of the Church of Christ. Survived by her husband; her daughter - Charlotte Howard; her parents; two brothers - J.C. Pratt and Claude Pratt; one sister - Mrs. Will Holland.
Mrs. Howard lived in Hamlin for many years. Her husband was in the grocery business in Hamlin. She was preceded in death by one son.
