FIRTH - John Wayne McIntier, 77, Firth, died at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, of a heart condition Tuesday, February 21, 1984.


McIntier was born December 1, 1907 in Lyman to John Arnold and Charlotte Emily Smith McIntier. He attended school in Lyman. He married Rhoda Louise Hall on January 14, 1933 in Lorenzo.


McIntier worked for Utah Power and Light Co. for 31 years. He served as a foreman for 20 years. He was a member of the Idaho Gem and Mineral Society and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.


He is survived by his wife, Rhoda of Firth; two sons, Daren L. of Boise and Dennis R. of Idaho Falls; one daughter, Ora Dawn Thurman of Idaho Falls; two sisters, Cora Parkison of Otis Orchards, Washington and Dothel Sharp of Post Falls; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Saturday in the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby with Bishop William R. McClure officiating. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery in Archer.
