Daughter of Andrew Jackson Hodges & Mary Elizabeth Mann Hodges. Married John Wesley Lawler August 12, 1912 in Lofton, Garland, Arkansas. They had 4 sons and 4 daughters.

They came to California during the dust bowl. John and Letha played extras in the movie "Dodge City" that stared Errol Flynn & Olivia Havilland in the 30's. Letha was the woman who saved the boy in the stampde.

They earn enought money to buy proptery in the area of Modesto's "Beard district". They live in a tent while building their home. They also built several rentals on the property.

I never heard her say an unkind word about anyone. In her words " now that's a fine young man" I went to visit her the day Elvis died, she was so upset. Her words " It's sad a fine young man is gone". She had a hard life but always found the good.

608 Empire Ave was their home for over 40 years until Letha died of cancer.
