Doris Edna Lawler Wade Dickerson Snodgrass
Doris F. Dickerson Snodgrass, 89, of Eagle Rock, died August 27 at her home.
Mrs. Snodgrass was born August 26, 1915, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Letha Hodges Lawler. She had picked cotton, operated a grocery store business, and had been a registered nurse. She was a member of the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Eagle Rock and was a volunteer for Clothes Closet in Eagle Rock.
She married Jim Snodgrass in 1965, and he preceded her in death in 1967.
Survivors include one son, William Wade of Hawthorne, Oklahoma; one daughter, Karen Dickerson of Eagle Rock; two sisters, Sadie Johnson of Long Beach, California, and Freeda Graham of Seal Beach, California; eight grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Wade; one daughter, Gloria Travitsky; four brothers, Liberty, Donald, Jack, and Elbert; one sister, Mary Ross; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 3, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Jim Clay officiating. Burial will be in Roach Cemetery in Eagle Rock under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, September 2, at the funeral.
