Saint John Globe, Fri 27 Sep 1895: "The death of Mrs. J.B. LONGLEY, for over fifty years a resident of this city, occurred Wednesday at her residence 189 Princess St. Mrs. Longley was born in Granville, N.S. 83 years ago. She was the d/o Israel FELLOWS and was the eldest of the family. Hon. James I. FELLOWS is a brother of the deceased and Mrs. S.S. HALL and Mrs. J.V. TROOP are sisters. Mrs. Longley married John B. LONGLEY, also a Nova Scotian by birth, but who resided in St. John for many years. He held, at one time, a position in the Marine Dept. in this city. Three children, one son and two daughters, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive them. Hon. Wilberforce LONGLEY, Attorney General of Nova Scotia, is a nephew of Mr. Longley. Mrs. Longley was a member of the Brussels Street Baptist Church, St. John. She always enjoyed the best of health. The funeral took place this afternoon from Princess St. Rev.
