Her first marriage produced 3 children, 2 daughters and a son until the demise of her first husband.
Years past and she met Raymond Pierre-Mike, who would become her second husband. He was was born on December 2, 1931 in Jonaivie, Hattie. Raymond had been married previously as well, and from his first marriage he sired 4 sons. Together, he and Marie produced 4 children of their own: Nadia, Marlon, Mika (who I know), and Cynthia. Altogether, between their first marriages and their own, they had eleven children.
Years latter they divorced, but both remained residents of Long Island, New York -- Marie in Nassau County and Raymond in Suffolk County. Raymond passed away on February 13, 1992 at the age of 60, and is resting in Suffolk County.
Marie loved God deeply and was a spiritual woman. She raised her children with in the Seventh Day Adventist religion bringing them to church regularly. She listened faithfully to the Family Radio Program (www.FamilyRadio.com) which broadcasts out of California 24 hours a day, reading from the Holy Bible gospels and scripture, offering positive reenforcement and empowering life lessons, and playing religious-based music. She loved this program.
Although she never smoked, drank, or took illegal drugs, Marie was diagnosed with lung cancer, and although she put up a strong and couragous fight, she never gave up her conviction to believe in and preach God's word. Her faith, trust, and hope in God's unfailing wisdom did not faulter. She lost her earthly battle on September 22, 2006, and her family laid her tired body to rest on September 29, 2006. Marie is missed by many.
