I found this site while doing a search for a free memorial site where I could create something worthy of my dad, he passed away in 2007 at the incredible age of 91.

Being a physically challenged homebound woman, this site makes "visiting" those I can't go to the next best way of being there. It's another way for me to express my deep emotions & creativity in expressing them.

While here, I decided to make a memorial as well for my mom who has been gone since 1994. My folks passed in the same month of one another, & thinking on others who passed I noticed many have passed in the month of August. Then I started searching family members, then friends. The more I found, the more I wanted to search those who've passed on from this world.

I've created a few memorials, added pictures to some I've known, & have begun placing virtual tokens on strangers sites (we all need to be remembered by someone, no?). I've even given some thought about creating my own memorial site as there'll be no one to do it for me when my time comes along (not that I'm going any time soon). Hey, why put off tomorrow what you can do today, right? Besides who better to create something like this then yourself, sort of like a "work in progress" project. Well ... it IS just an idea I'm thinking over.

Like other's on this site, I've always found cemeteries to be a special & fascinating place; calm, soothing, & for the most part quiet. A place to go for meditation, to view some beautiful pieces of art & equally historical in nature.

A place were no one cares who their neighbor is or what they look like. If all people had this attitude, what a fab world it would be!
