OBITUARY - CHICO ENTERPRISE-RECORD: "Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home Monday at 11 a.m. for Lawrence Ernest Kossow, Durham rancher, who died near Sonora yesterday morning as a result of an automobile accident.

"Mr. Kossow was born in Deer River, Minn, on March 30, 1909, and spent his childhood in Minnesota, moving in 1928 to California, where he first established his home in Gridley. In 1940 he and his family moved to Durham where Mr. Kossow engaged in the dairy business. For the past year and a half he had been in construction business and was working on the Cherry Valley Project.

"Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Florence Kossow of Durham, two children, Mrs. Nancy Taresh and David Kossow, both of Durham; his father Mr. Peter Kossow of Durham; two grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: John Kossow, and Mrs. Evelyn Beers, of Durham; Mrs. Mary Evans, Mrs. Louise Myers and Mrs. Lena Hart, of Minneapolis; Mrs. Leona Martin of El Cerrito, and Mrs. Margaret Rollins of Camptonville.

"Interment will take place in Glen Oaks Memorial Park."
