Mr. Robbins was born in Greensburg Sept. 6, 1901, the son of Lon and Mary Ann Foster Robbins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Robbins, who died Nov. 18, 1977. Mr. Robbins was retired from the Greensburg Fire Department. He was a member of the Indiana Fire Fighters Association, the Masonic Lodge No. 46, the Pocahontas Lodge, the Red Men's Lodge, and the Decatur County Conservation Club.
He was a member of the Greensburg First Baptist Church, and the Baraca Class.
He is survived by one son, Louis Robbins, Greensburg; his daughter-in-law, Betty Robbins; two grandchildren: Larry Robbins, Greensburg and Roxann Linville, Westport; five great-grandchildren: Andrew J. Robbins, Lana Michelle Robbins, Tammi Sue Robbins, Holly Michelle Linville and Timothy Michael Linville; and two brothers: Ott and John Robbins, both of Greensburg.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
The services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Charles Baxter officiating, and with burial in the Burk's Chapel Cemetery south of Greensburg. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday.
