Mr. Robbins was born May 21, 1892, in Harris City, the son of Alonzo and Mary Ann Foster Robbins. He retired in 1953 from employment with the City of Greensburg. He was a former member of the Greensburg Salvation Army, and a member of the St. Omer Community Church.
He is survived by five sons: Walter Robbins, Greensburg, Perry Robbins, Fairland, Gerald and William Robbins of Indianapolis and David Robbins of Laurel; three daughters: Mrs. John H. (Helen) Martin and Lucille Lennon, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mary Ann Wilson, Milroy; 41 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two wives: Ethel Freda Robbins, who died Sept. 13, 1956, and Bertha Mae Robbins, who died Dec. 24, 1972.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.
The services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Brattain, of the St. Omer Community Church, officiating, and with burial in the South Park Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
