Robbins was a former resident of Greensburg where he had owned and operated Robbies Liquor Store. He was a past member of the Eagles Lodge and the Redman's Association. He had been retired for several years preceding his death.
Robbins was born September 5, 1899, in Decatur County, the son of Alonzo and Mary Ann Foster Robbins. He was married to Mildred Foreman on April 22, 1922, who preceded him in death on May 16, 1980. Robbins was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Forest Hill.
He is survived by three sons: Robert, Winter Haven, Fla.; Dale, Dundee, Fla.; and James, Silvas, Ill.; and one daughter, Mrs. Bettie Myers, Columbus. He is also survived by one brother, Ott Robbins, Greensburg, and 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Browning Home, with the Rev. Robert Browning officiating. Burial will be at South Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
