Korean royalty. Empress Sunjeonghyo, born as Yun Jeung-sun, was the second spouse of Emperor Sunjong. She was briefly the Crown Princess of Korea in 1907 before becoming the Empress consort of Korea (1907-1910) in the same year when Sunjong became Emperor. After the forced abdication in 1910, she was forced to live in the Changdeokgung Palace and was given the title "Her Majesty, Queen Yi of Korea." She remained in the Palace until the Korean War and secretly escaped to the Unhyeon Palace before later moving to Busan for the remainder of the war. In 1961 she was allowed to move back in The Changdeok Palace and lived there until her death on the 3 of February 1966. She was buried with Sunjong at The Imperial tombs of Yuneung.
