Hufford, Robert Caldwell, 71, of Hopewell, passed away on March 4, 2019. He was preceded in death by 2 wives, Leila and Jewel.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Griffin Hufford; daughters, Victoria (Ken) of New York, and Amy of Williamsburg; sons, Keith (Rickie), and Adam of California; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Alexandra.
Bob had many Hobbies and accomplishments in life, some of which include; being a Physician's Assistant for 40 years, 15 of which were for the Army, after retiring from the Navy; becoming a thirty second degree Mason; an actor of the American Revolution (Patrick Henry's speech at St. John's Church); a biographer on Find A Grave; an interpreter; and running marathons. His many memberships include, SCV (AP Hill Camp #167, Petersburg, VA), the American Legion; NRA, the John Bell Hood Historical Society, the Edgar Allan Poe Foundation, the Army Society of Physician Assistants, and the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities (APVA) He was always in the pursuit of more knowledge.
The family received friends on Saturday, March 9th at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg Chapel, with a memorial service that followed.
