On Monday, February 11, 2019, B. Marie (Kelbaugh) Walker, 99, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on her birthday. She was born on February 11, 1920 in Freeland, MD to the late William M. and Edith M. (Jones) Kelbaugh. She was the wife of the late Dewey E. Walker, who passed away on February 17, 1985. Marie was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church in Glen Rock, where she also played the organ for over 35 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Marie is survived by her children, Brenda E. Snyder and husband Harold, and David E. Walker, Sr. and wife Deb; 4 grandsons, Christopher R. Snyder and wife Amber, Jason M. Snyder and wife Stacie, David E. Walker, Jr. and wife Desiree, and Adam D. Walker and wife Amanda; one Step-grandson, Todd E. Snyder and wife Sherry; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings, Clara M. Shaffer, Elmer M. Kelbaugh, Julia Mae Braun, William H. Kelbaugh and E. Virginia Bennett.
A public viewing will be on Thursday, February 14 from 6pm until 8pm at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15 at 11am at Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church, 5890 Steltz Rd., Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are recommended to the church at the address above.
