According to "History of Hardin County" ohio>pp.846-847 {it gives his vital dates as b. August 13, 1764-d. Jan 8, 1848} he came to America with a brother Jim from Amsterdam Holland and enlisted at age of 14 years to served during last three years of the American Revolution and also served 3 months in the War of 1812. Served 22 years in the New York Legislature and 22 years as a Judge. As a committee member help drafted a bill to abolish slavery in New York State. In 1836 left Canandaigua New York and moved to Big Island, Marion County Ohio
