Mark Hissa, 63, of Huntsburg passed away February 24, 2018. He was born November 12, 1954, the son of Edwin and Joan (Bartek) Hissa. In his younger years, he was on the St. Helens unicycle drill team and performed all over. He was an avid antique steam engine enthusiast and loved to attend the shows. He was a member of the Ashtabula Engine Club. Mark was a long time dairy and grain farmer in Huntsburg and was a memorable man in the community. In the winter, he tended to his maple trees producing the best syrup around. The spring and summer months he was busy with crops and caring for his honeybees. Mark enjoyed traveling. He visited Russia, China and Europe to name a few. His door was always open for anyone who wanted to stop by. The steam engines were a landmark that attracted people from all over the world, and the farm was something that everyone loved. He will be missed.

He is survived by his sons Neill (Amy) Hissa, Eric Hissa, his daughter Katie (Jason) Baker, his brothers and sisters Ed (Evelyn) Hissa, Ann (Mike) Humphrey, Alisa (Guy) Humphrey, Mike (Inge) Hissa, and Matt (Jennifer) Hissa. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lindsay, Matthew, Elin, Lillian, Jack, Sunny and Rae. He was preceded by his parents in death.

Calling hours will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 1:00 until 5:00 with a Celebration of Life at 5:00 PM at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home.
