Mr. Lonnie Byron Bledsoe, age 86, of Wynne, died Saturday at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
Mr. Bledsoe was born September 16, 1931, in Wynne, and was the son of Neal Bledsoe and Effie Mae Crawford Bledsoe. He lived in Cross County all of his life, was a rural route carrier for the U.S. Post Office, a farmer, a Veteran of the Army, and a member of the Wynne First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son Keith Bledsoe, his parents, brothers Wayne Bledsoe, Marion Bledsoe, Bobby Bledsoe, and sisters Louise Callison, Joann Martin and Peggy Spencer.
Mr. Bledsoe married Earlene McCammon and she preceded him in death in 2009. He is survived by two sons; Gary Bledsoe of Little Rock and Scott Bledsoe of Wynne, one daughter, Dr. Lauri Gorbet of Jackson, Tennessee, two brothers; Billy Bledsoe of Wynne and Norman Bledsoe of West Memphis, two sisters; Mary Bob Brawner and Beverly Walker, both of Wynne, and one grandchild, Megan Gorbet.
Services for Mr. Bledsoe will be held at Kernodle Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, with burial in Cogbill Cemetery.
