MRS. MELINDA THOMPSON EXPIRES AFTER ILLNESS

Mrs. Melinda Thompson of the Lower Valley passed away early this morning in Kalispell after an illness of about a month. She was 67 years of age and had been a resident here for nearly 30 years. She was the mother of Byron, Charles and Howard Thompson and Mrs. Gladys Swenson.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waggener and Campbell Chapel by Rev. Father O'Farrell followed by interment in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.

FUNERALS
Mrs. Melinda Thompson

Funeral services for Mrs. Melinda Thompson were held Sunday afternoon at the Waggener & Campbell chapel at 2 o'clock by Father Francis O'Farrell of St. Matthew's church. During the services the Junior choir of St. Matthew's school sang two hymns. The chapel was filled by the many friends and there were many beautiful flowers banked about the casket.
Those acting as pallbearers were Fred Damon, Roy Ellis, George Hartman, Charles Reed, George Danford and Mike Emmert. Interment was made in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.

OBITUARY
Melinda Hackett Thompson was born May 15, 1867 at Quebec, Canada and passed away at Kalispell, Montana, Oct. 12, 1934, at the age of 67 years. Mrs. Thompson spent the early part of her life in Montreal, Canada, where she was married to L. Smith. Three children were born and all have preceded her in death.
Mrs. Smith came to the Flathead in 1900 in February and in 1901 she became the wife of Byron J. Thompson. Together they have lived on the homestead south of Kalispell.
Four children survive, Charles Thompson, Mrs. Gladys Swenson, Byron Thompson and Howard Thompson.
