Transfers within the guidelines, only please. All requests outside the guidelines will be ignored. Remember to include your relationship when asking for a transfer, as well as the reason for the request. "Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. You can add photos and suggest corrections without managing a memorial. With millions of members, there will be many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all members to manage their entire tree." (Admin guidelines)

I would ask that if you are going to post a headstone photograph, please go the extra mile, and crop your shoes, or the shadow of your hands/camera, out of the picture when you are standing over a flat headstone. Also take care when photographing upright stones, that your reflection is not staring back.

PLEASE! - send edits through the appropriate fields under the edit tab, rather than using the "suggest other corrections" button. I've found that many contributors do not respond to email, but using the proper fields under the edit tab will ensure your edits are automatically approved, if they are left sitting idle for more than 27 days.
Also, there is just no way for me to deal with some 'link' requests, since the pages involved are held by other contributors.
Please make sure what you are submitting is accurate. I will not research your submissions to make sure they are correct.

These are individual Memorial pages, and really should not be used to post family group photos, or random photos of an individual, such as a descendant or other relative. The honored individual should be shown in a clear, identifiable close-up. If the photo is not a focused depiction, i.e. blurry, too distant, or posts too small on the page, it's better not to use it at all. I also find it distracting for family members to pose next to a headstone for a photo that will be posted to these pages.

The military rank prefix should only be used if the person was on active duty at the time of death, or retired after serving at least 20 years. (Military Regs.) We can still HONOR vets by marking their memorial with the icon, leaving appropriate flowers, etc. without defying and DISHONORING the regulations.

Finally, after being asked to change location from a town setting to "township", I believe a Township designation should be reserved for people born or passing in the surrounding countryside, rather than within town limits.
