Homer Mitchell

Homer A. Mitchell, 46, brother of the late Jack Mitchell of Lamesa, and a former resident here in the late 1940's and early 1950's, was killed in an auto accident near Lufkin July 17 it was learned this week.

Mitchell, a resident of Grand Prairie, was enroute to East Texas when his auto was in collision with another.

Survivors include his wife, the former JaJuana Crawford of Lamesa; four daughters, Mrs. Tommy Moore of Holland, and Lori Mitchell, Robin Mitchell and Kathy Mitchell all of the home; two sons, Tommy of El Paso and Danny of the home; his mother, Mrs. C. H. Mitchell of Ojai, Calif.; a sister of Calif.; and four brothers.

Services were conducted Tuesday at Sulphur Springs with burial in that City.

Mitchell was manager of a Skillern Drug Store in Grand Prairie and had often visited in Lamesa.

Mrs. Myrtle Mitchell of Lamesa attended the services in Sulphur Springs.
